Why Choose Sandstone? In a nutshell...Our niche market is learning-capable, scaleable, fully inclusive team building. What this means is that:
In a bit more detail...We could refer you to our extensive list of clients . We could tell you about our passionate and committed team of professionals . We could show you some photos of our participants thoroughly enjoying themselves (there are plenty of these in the brochures that you can request). We could even impress you with our brilliant range of unique activities. But perhaps the best way of answering the question is to show how our approach fits in with academic research. We recently came across a fascinating paper by Dr Gene Benter (who has no relationship with us whatsoever) on what makes for effective team building sessions. At the end of the document he makes three main conclusions. We're delighted to say that our activities comply with all three of them. We think that the last of them is the most revealing. He writes: "Team building activities such as mountain climbing, cooking contest, and fire walks are ineffective exercises to develop team work because what is at stake in these activities is survival and not camaraderie. Team building should not induce pain or physical suffering simply because they can strengthen the commitment of each member of the team ... Giving rigorous and difficult exercises for team building only discourages participants to commit themselves ... It is good to remember that people join the workforce to earn a living and not to subject themselves to pain and hardships." We couldn't agree more. That's why we call our activities "all inclusive". There's something for everyone and nothing is compulsory. We send everyone away glad they participated as well as sending teams away ready to be better the next day onwards. |
