Wild West
Our most popular activity; no surprise really - this is teambuilding from Sandstone at its best! The American Old West of the late 1800s. Boom time. All kinds of folk were flocking to settle there. Towns competed with one another to attract the best of them - the entrepreneurs, the hard workers, the right sort of people. No town wanted the undesirables, but they came anyway.
The trick was to keep them in check and deter others from joining them. Big stakes were on the table and the towns with the sharpest administrations flourished and prospered.
Organised into teams, your participants get a chance to do likewise. Each team gets a town to run. Each town competes to be the best. Yet some aspects of the activity require them to work together to achieve a common goal.

Romanbar Probably our most "out and out fun" team building activity. Certainly a very popular one! When you want a session with some real team building flavour, why not try a full-bodied business simulation? In a Romanbar session, product sampling isn't the only aspect that involves the participants! In the idyllic setting of Oldetown, Devashire, each team starts a wine bar within the franchised Romanbar family. Collectively, they must be competitive enough to wrestle business away from the pre-existing competition. Individually, each team will want to be the best. Teams make their first decisions and the venture begins! Their deliberations are computer analysed and the results fed back on a 'weekly' basis in the form of financial statements and general information on the state of the business. |

Vision Idol We're often asked if we can help put across corporate messages in a way that all staff can understand. And if we can help their teams understand what it means to them. Our answer is usually the same. Let them do it for themselves. But guide them to make sure that they end up where we want. It is always more powerful if people are involved in developing their own understanding. It is more powerful still if they enjoy the process. That's what we call team building! And that is where Vision Idol comes in. We organise your group into creative teams. We supply them with an interesting spread of materials to use. |

Bridge Team building is so often about building metaphorical bridges between team members. In this challenging and involving activity, however, there is nothing metaphorical about the bridges that teams have to build! A major construction company has won a government contract to build all bridge building in the UK for the next 3 years. This company is now looking for a partner to handle all the footbridges within the contract. Whoever wins the partnership will be guaranteed significant business for the next 3 years - and hopefully beyond. Each team is expected to demonstrate its capability across a variety of areas. At the heart of the bidding process is the requirement to design and build a 1:100 scale model of a prototype bridge using only the materials supplied to the best cost possible. |
