New Partner in the United States

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

We are delighted to announce that we have agreed a multi-level and reciprocal partnership with the leading US team building company Team Builders Plus.

The Team Builders Plus mission is “to create truly engaged employees who achieve unprecedented results by promoting long-lasting personal and organizational growth and success”.  Like us, they have a solid background in learning and development that they use to create and deliver world class team building events.  Perhaps that explains why we have found our dealings with them to be one full of empathy and why we have come to such a comprehensive agreement.  Amongst their many accolades are New Jersey Business of the Year (2008), they’ve been recognised as one of the Best Places to Work in the Philadelphia area (2007 & 2008) and have had consecutive appearances in the Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies in the Philadelphia region charts of 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Under the agreement, Team Builders Plus have access to our main portfolio of team building activities and we have access to their portfolio.  Importantly, it allows us to support our clients as and when they wish to run events in the US directly through our partners, saving our clients the cost of transporting people and equipment from the UK.  And vice-versa, of course!

Equally exciting, their pre-eminent team building website www.teambuildinginc.com will be adding our innovative and unique web based team building offerings from www.teambuildingrescue.com to its catalog (sic) and making them available to its huge US and international customer base.  Team Builders Plus are already authorised partners of such leading publishers as HRDQ, Inscape Publishing and Vital Learning.  We are proud that Space Rescue, our first Team Building Rescue offering, now sits alongside products from such leading lights in learning and development.

Team Building Event of the Month

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

I’ve decided to reclaim my regular blog entry after Alan took over for March.  In April we had a number of fantastic events which were all contenders for this slot.  3 of them came very close – a Romanbar in Birmingham, a Romanbar in Manchester and a Liberation near Chesham were all great and in other months might well have won.  But not for April 2010.  The winning event was an absolutely fabulous Cube run at Beaumont House in Old Windsor.

Every aspect of this event was loved by the client and our team members alike.  The venue staff were very helpful (and cooked delicious food!), but most importantly for us, the client got involved in all aspects.  We started this Cube event a little bit differently to all others – they didn’t get to see what their Cube should look like at the start.  It was jumbled up along the side of the room.  They had to rebuild it without knowing what they were building.  But this didn’t stop them.  Rather it challenged them to succeed!  They built a fabulous Cube – which they liked so much they have taken it back to their offices to remind everyone about their messages from the day.

A highlight for me personally was the good natured competitiveness during the Triking Speed races and indeed the Caterpillar Alley finale.

A great event and a great client!  Thank you.
